Tense and brilliant

Eton-Oxford-Westminster - the path of privilege in the UK. This story, written by an Oxford graduate (& former Guardian journalist) is about the seemingly unstoppable rise of James Whitehouse whose charm and connections lead him to political power. It’s also about the women in his life. When James gets accused of rape, his wife Sophie is horrified but is determined to stand by her man. The prosecuting barrister Kate is equally determined to bring him down. This is a, detailed but suspenseful story of student days, politics, power, privilege and love. Utterly believable (sadly) but highly enjoyable. Very good narrators also.
